Carrigtwohill 5-1 Glen Rovers 1-2
Our Fé 12 Hurlers had their first outing of the year with a challenge games against the Glen Rovers. The match started off with a hetic pace with both teams and the Carrig team with hit when the Glen score an early goal. With both defences on top, scores were at a priemium and at half time the Glen were in a lead of 1-1 to 0 -1. In the second half Carrig came out all guns blazing and got a couple of quick scores. With both teams constanting every ball this was an enjoyable match to watch. Carrig ran out eventual winners on a score line of 5-1 to 1-2.

01/April/2008: Carrigtwohill 4-6 v Youghal 0-3
Carrigtwohill came out of the blocks with all guns firing and never gave Youghal a channce to get into any stride. At half time Carrigtwohill were leading on a scoreline of 2-5 to 0-1. In the second half Carrigtwohill kept up the pressure to run winners on a score line of 4-6 to 0-3. Great credit must be given to Youghal for their never say die attidute.

04/April/08: Carrigtwohill 4-8 Aghada 6-4

This was the old cliché, a game of two halfs. In the first half Agahda dominate and lead on a scoreline of 6-3 to 0-07. In the second half Carrigtwohill become the dominate force, but Agahda won a scoreline of 6-4 to 4-8.

Carrigtwohill disappointed in losing to Agahda, Carrigtwohill went about making ammends by returning to wining ways and played a good brand of football. At half time Carrigtwohill were leading to 1-09 to 0-2, and ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-16 to 0-06.

11/April/2008: Carrigtwohill 4-8 Mildeton 3-3
These two teams over the last two years have given us a couple of local debries in both hurling and football, were both teams were not lacking in commitment. This match had total commitment from both set of players and at half time Midleton were leading on a score line of 3-2 to 1-3. In the second half Carritwohill uped the tempo and well taken scores ran out winners on a scoreline of 4-8 to 3-3.

This is game were Carrigtwohill never got going and at half time Killeagh/Itas led on scoreline of 0-5 to 0-2 which Killeagh/Itas ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-9 to 0-3. The Carrigtwohill lads were disappointed with their play, but they shoiuld remember it took two clubs to beat them and taking account of their form on the night, the expectation is that Carrigtwohill have the beatings of this Killeagh/Itas team.

After the Killeagh\Itas game this was a team that wished to restore their own pride and from the whistle set about playing hurling that we have seen in training. Carrigtwohill ran out winners on a scoreline of 5-12 to 2-8.

31/ May /08 – Abbeyside Tournament

Carrigtwohill, were invited as defending A chmapions to the Abbeyside tournament in Co Waterford on a glorious sunny day. In Carrigtwohill’s group was hosts Abbeyside, Faughs from Dublin. In the opening match Carrigtwohill beat Abbeyside on a scoreline of 2-7 to 0-04. In the second match Carrigtwohill drew with Faughs on a scoreline of 0-04 to 1-01. With Abbeyside beating Faughs, Carrigtwohill was into the A final against Dungravan. Dungarvan won the final on a scoreline of 4-7 to 1-05. A great day was had by all.

Carrigtwohill and Midleton played out a another hard fought derby game. Carrigtwohill ran out winners on a scoreline of 6-5 to 2-7.

12/Jul/08 - Croke Park
On July 12 2008 the Carrigtwohill Fé 12 hurling team were invited to play a tournament in Croke Park. We had many supporters who travel with us for a very enjoyable day. We played 4 matches, drew two and won two. This was the 1st Carrigtwohill team top play on the hallow turf and hopefully in the not too distant future we will have the pleasure of watching, some, if not all these palyers playing in Croke park again.

15/Jul/08 - East Cork League Final - Killeagh/Itas 4-12 2-12 Carrigtwohill
This was game played in pillmore on a cold evening. In the 1st half Carrig played with the wind, but some bad misses were going to cost to us and the Killeagh/Itas goalkeeper was on fire, which he save a couple of goals, and Carrig went in a half time lead of 4 points. In the second half Killeagh/Itasgot s couple of lucky goals and ran out winners with six points to spare. The postives we have to take from this game is the never say die attitude of this team.
