It was a perfect day for a match.  Again we had a great turn out of players.  We played 10 a side and rotated the players so every girl played in each half.  It was great seeing how the girl’s skills have improved from the first match.  They were passing the ball and blocking with confidence.  Let’s keep this up.  Thanks to all the parents who turned up to support us.

Go Games at Killeagh Under 8 Blitz on Thursday 26th May 2011
1st Match             Carrigtwohill v Dungourney              8 aside
2nd  Match           Killeagh 1 vs Carrigtwohill               8 aside
3rd  Match            Killeagh 2 vs Carrigtwohill               10 aside

It was a very wet, windy and cold evening as we left Carrigtwohill for our first U8 Go Games Blitz down in Killeagh.  But this didn’t damper the girl’s sprit and effort.  We had 17 players turn up which was a great turn out and I’m hoping that this will continue for the rest of these Blitzes’s.  The Blitz was very well run.  The girls got to play in all 3 games as we rotated the team each half.  They all played excellent.  You could see their skills and confidence improving with each match.  Well done girls and many thanks to all those who came to support us in such bad weather.

Under 8’s Carrigtwohill vs St Fanahans Saturday 30th April 2011
Hi all and welcome to a new season. The Under 8’s started the season off with a friendly match away to St Fanahans on Saturday 30th April.  It was a beautiful day for Camogie.  But the match itself was a tough battle.  Our girls gave a very good performance never giving up and chasing the ball right up to the last whistle. It shows we have a lot of spirit in this team and we look forward to the rest of the season. Well done to the following girls who played on the day.
